The Blues have long been linked with the Portugal international, who was one of the starring lights for his country as they won Euro 2016 in France.

And now Antonio Conte is set to step up his efforts to sign the 23-year-old, though they could face competition from Manchester United should their bid to sign Paul Pogba prove unsuccessful.
