Raised Wage Could Land Morata this Weekend

Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata will double his wage earnings, if the much publicised transfer to Manchester United comes to fruition this summer.

Morata's agent is currently discussing potential transfer options with the executives at Real Madrid and according to Sky Italia, viaAS, if the deal is to go through, the Spaniard will earn €8m per year - twice what he was earning with the Spanish champions.
The report suggests that Manchester United will have to fork out in the region of €74m, if they are to bring the 24-year-old to Old Trafford but Jose Mourinho is keen to acquire the services of Morata since the release of star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the end of last season.

Since his return to the Bernabeu, Morata has bagged 15 goals in just 26 appearances - a strike rate that has sparked the interest of Manchester United and Jose Mourinho.

The move would be a positive one for the forward. He would be almost guaranteed game time with United, giving him a chance to show his ability on the field and break through into the Spanish national team on a regular basis.

The reported deal would be for four years, taking Morata's overall earnings to around €48m.
