Arsenal and Tottenham set to Withdraw from Nice Midfielder
Arsenal & Tottenham Set to Pull Out of the Race to Sign Highly-Rated Nice Midfielder
Premier League sides Arsenal and Tottenham are believed to have pulled out of the race for Nice midfielder Jean-Michael Seri reports 90min.
The 25-year-old enjoyed a fruitful campaign seeing his side Nice challenge for the title but ultimately coming third behind Monaco and PSG.
His performances have attracted attention from a whole host of suitors across Europe including Barcelona, Roma, Arsenal, Tottenham, and PSG to name but a few.
Seri has a contract with Nice until 2019 but they will do well to resist the advances of Europe's top clubs ahead of the summer window.
Arsenal had been in the driving seat for the player, with reports suggesting that Wenger travelled to Nice to secure the deal, however, this does not seem to have materialized.
Spurs had also been in contact with the midfielder and were told that they would have to match his £35m buyout clause in order to acquire his services.
